Obituary for Marie P "Pauline" Penhallow (Perreault)

SPENCER-Marie "Pauline" (Perreault) Penhallow, 84, died peacefully on Sunday, March 5,2017 surrounded by her daughters. Her husband of 40 years, USAF Msgt. (Ret.) Robert E. Penhallow, died in 1991. Pauline was born on November 5, 1932 in Southbridge, MA and was the middle child of Gerard and Louise (Terroy) Perreault. She was raised in Southbridge, Barre and Worcester, MA and graduated from St. Stephen’s High School in Worcester, MA in 1950.

Pauline leaves behind her four loving daughters, Susan Wilson and her husband Maurice of Spencer MA, Linda Skorupski and her husband John of Easthampton MA, Patricia Brisbon and her husband Emmitt of Worcester MA, and Shirley Dempsey and her significant other Andrew Robinson of Oakham MA.; sister Carol Diguette and her husband Dennis and a brother-in-law Norman Beauchemin. She was predeceased by her sister Jeannette. Pauline was proud of her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pauline worked for many years at the Fair Department Store. In her later years, she enjoyed her part-time position at O’Brien’s 5 & 10 in Northborough, MA. She enjoyed traveling, going to plays and out to lunch with her many good friends and family. Some of her favorite trips were spent in Topsail Island, North Carolina with the Beauchemin clan. She was an active member of Mary Queen of the Rosary Parish in Spencer, MA, serving as a Eucharistic minister and a member of the prayer line. She also spent her time as a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program. Pauline’s knitting skills were well known by friends, family and the local community. Her family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful care provided to her by her doctors at Reliant Medical Group. Pauline’s daughters would also like to say a special thank you to the 35 North staff members at St. Vincent’s Hospital who made their mom’s final days so comfortable and peaceful.

Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, March 7,2017 from 5-7PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home 163 Main St. Spencer. The funeral will be held on Wednesday with a Mass at 10:00AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church 7 Church St. Spencer. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
