Walter "Spanky" Lynde III
EAST BROOKFIELD- Walter “Spanky” H. Lynde III, 49, died Sunday July 23, 2017 in University of Massachusetts Hospital, Worcester.
Walter was a board hanger for thirty years, but owned his own business for the last three years. He loved to play golf, travel to Myrtle Beach, and had a very special fondness for the outdoors. He was a Patriots fan, enjoying attending the home games whenever he could. Walter will be remembered as always smiling and laughing (with that crooked smile and his one dimple.
He was born in Queen, New York son of Irene (Dillstrom) Dumouchel of East Brookfield and the late Walter H. Lynde II. He is the step son of Ronald L. Dumouchel. In addition to his step parents, Walter is survived by 2 brothers, Joseph Lynde of Brookfield and Ernie Pullano of R.I.; a sister Dawn Marie of NY; his grandmother Jane of Brookfield. Walter also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his father, Walter was predeceased by his brother Dennis.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday August 5, 2017 in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at the American Legion Post #138, 175 Main St., Spencer . Pillsbury Funeral Home, Spencer is entrusted with arrangements.
